Earlier this month, my girlfriend and I visited the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. This is the first of several photographs from that trip.

Cascade Falls is a fairly small waterfall (20 feet in height) located near Lake Quinault. Despite its small size, I thought that the waterfall and foliage surrounding it were extremely photogenic. I hope that you agree. If you look closely, you can see the footbridge above the waterfall near the top left corner of the frame.

(Technical details: Nikon D90, Manfrotto 190CXPRO3 tripod, Nikon 18-200mm lens, Hoya Circular Polarizer, f/11, 1/3 second.)
