Located in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge, Fairy Falls is only 20 feet high but exceptionally photogenic
. Several weeks ago, I photographed it for the first time during winter. Though it was surrounded by ice, the waterfall continued to flow. (Technical details: Nikon D90, Manfrotto 190CXPRO3 tripod, Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX lens, Hoya Circular Polarizer, f/11, 1/5 second.)
