Thank you for taking the time to visit my gallery! Faves, comments, collecting, and recommendations are always appreciated. Also, I invite you to download this image to use as desktop wallpaper. Please respect my work by not printing, selling, or reposting it.

Located in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge, Fairy Falls is only 20 feet high but exceptionally photogenic. Several weeks ago, I photographed it for the first time during winter. Though it was surrounded by ice, the waterfall continued to flow.

(Technical details: Nikon D90, Manfrotto 190CXPRO3 tripod, Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX lens, Hoya Circular Polarizer, f/11, 1/5 second.)

If you enjoy this photo, please take a few moments to visit my Waterscapes gallery.

Fairy Falls looks very different during the spring and summer:

Nice shot, Greg! That must have been some hike up to this fall in the snow.

It wasn't too bad. I brought my Yaktrax to deal with the ice on the trail so that I wouldn't fall on the way back down. :)

You must see it for yourself! Preferably when it's green. :)

Yes! It's on the list. I almost went, but I wussed out with the freezing cold and snowfall.

No worries. Although I found the frost interesting, it is nicer without the ice and snow. It is also much easier to navigate the steep trail without that stuff. :)
