Another photo from my trip to Glacier National Park last August. When you enter the park at Many Glacier, one of the first things you will see is Lake Sherburne and the mountains to the west. Grinnell Point is near the center of the frame, with the Garden Wall / Continental Divide beyond it.
The water was completely still, so my girlfriend and I stopped to photograph it. While most people stood at the roadside, pointing their camera phones toward the beautiful scene, we took the short rocky walk down to the water's edge for a better (and less crowded) vantage point.
NOTE: When displayed at its default size, the photo may appear a bit "soft". FULL VIEW is highly recommended for better appreciation of detail.
If you get the chance, and if haven't done so on your last trip, definitely look into logan pass, and the hike to hidden lake. In my personal opinion, and in the opinion of many others, its one of the best places in the park!
We visited Hidden Lake, then hiked the Highline Trail to Granite Park Chalet. The latter was stunning... one of the best hikes I have ever done anywhere. Next time we would like to visit the Two Medicine area, as well as the Siyeh Pass.
