Thank you for taking the time to visit my gallery. Faves and comments are always appreciated! Also, I invite you to download this image to use as desktop wallpaper. Please respect my work by not printing, selling, or reposting it.

"Lemolo" is a Chinook Indian term meaning "wild" or "untamed". That is an apt description of this raging waterfall, which plunges 100+ feet along the North Umpqua River east of Roseburg, Oregon.

Directions can be found at the "Thundering Waters" site.

I love all the side trickles, particularly the ones on the right leading to that little cascade at the base. :)

I like them too, though I must admit that I didn't really notice them as much while I was on location. I was too distracted trying to find a relatively dry vantage point. :)

Hahaha! Yeah, I know what you mean there! When you're on the bridge, wet is definitely inevitable! Same with the side vantage point. The only non-wet side is from behind, which isn't a bad shot as long as there's no one on the bridge. :)
I would like to go back in summer (rather than in spring) to get better greenery....my shots felt like they were lacking that lush, green look. I never even posted any shots from the falls, although I suppose I should.

You wouldn't want to fall in this waterfall... it's quite powerful and would probably do some damage!
