Little Niagara Falls, Study 3 by greglief Little Niagara Falls, Study 3 by greglief
Thank you for taking the time to visit my gallery. Faves and comments are always appreciated! As always I invite you to download this image to use as desktop wallpaper. Please respect my work by not printing, selling, or reposting it. If you share it via Twitter, Facebook, or tumblr, please include my photo credit. Thanks!

A difficult 1/3 mile bushwhack leads you to one of the most photogenic waterfalls in the Pacific Northwest. Little Niagara Falls might be small by comparison to the "real" Niagara Falls, but it is still quite large... 75 feet high and 80 feet wide.

I had to wade across the swift (and cold) creek to get this vantage point, but I think it was worth the effort.

NOTE: When displayed at its default size, the photo may appear a bit "soft". FULL VIEW is highly recommended for better appreciation of detail.

(Nikon D90, Nikon 18-200 lens, circular polarizer, f/11, 1 second, Bogen/Manfrotto tripod)

Here is another horizontal close-up study:

This waterfall looks considerably different in my semi-abstract Vertical study:

The way it opens up into the water fall behind the rocks and trees makes it seem like a hidden world. I literally feel like I can walk into this picture (:
