The Church Mountain Trail is not a hike for the faint of heart, lungs, legs, or knees... 8.5 miles round-trip and 3750 feet (1143 meters) elevation gain. But the wildflower meadows and the sublime views of Mount Baker (pictured here), Mount Shuksan, and many other Cascade peaks are worth the effort.
Here is another photo from the same hike:
If you are interested in seeing more photos from the Church Mountain trail, please visit my PBase gallery. I am planning to only post a few of them here.
If you enjoy this photo, please take a few moments to visit my Mountains gallery.
Be sure to go on a clear day so that you can take full advantage of the views. It's not easy, but it is well worth the effort (and you won't have to worry about crowds, especially near the top)!
