National Creek Falls, Study #1 by greglief National Creek Falls, Study #1 by greglief
Thank you for taking the time to visit my gallery. Faves and comments are always appreciated! Also, I invite you to download this image to use as desktop wallpaper. Please respect my work by not printing, selling, or reposting it.

National Creek Falls is fed by springs on Mount Mazama (Crater Lake) in Southern Oregon. I wanted to see it in person for a long time, and it did not disappoint.

Getting to this vantage point involved shimmying across the (deep and cold) creek on a slippery log. But it was well worth the effort.

I love moss, I love waterfalls; I officially miss Oregon. That slow shutter speed rendered the water beautifully without it being blown-out. Do you use any filters when shooting falls?

I nearly always use a circular polarizer, unless it is close to (or after) sunset and I cannot afford to sacrifice the extra 1-2 f/Stops. Sorry that you are missing Oregon... it will still be here for you when you are able to return!

I like how the moss makes the water look like cream and it looks as if it has volume. :3
