I discovered this stream when backpacking at Pamelia Lake in Oregon's Mount Jefferson Wilderness area. I had brought my Gorillapod rather than my customary (and much heavier) Manfrotto tripod, so it was a struggle for me to achieve a good vantage point because I was limited to 10 inches off the ground! Eventually I settled for this spot, set my exposure time for ten seconds, and hoped for the best.
When I got home, I was very pleasantly surprised at how well this turned out. The little Gorillapod managed to hold my camera steady so that the focus was completely crisp! But next time I will lug my regular tripod so that I will have more flexibility.
