Ponytail Falls Autumn Study 1 by greglief Ponytail Falls Autumn Study 1 by greglief
Thank you for taking the time to visit my gallery! Faves, comments, collecting, and recommendations are always appreciated. Please respect my work by not printing, selling, or reposting it.

Located in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge, Ponytail Falls is lovely during any season. I particularly enjoy it during late October. No leaves were placed during the making of this photograph!

Here is another view from the other side:

It looks VERY different during the winter...

(Technical details: Nikon D70, Manfrotto 190PROB tripod, Nikon 12-24mm lens, Hoya Circular Polarizer, f/22, 6 seconds.)

If you enjoy this photo, please take a few moments to visit my Waterscapes gallery.

I agree. Some photographers deliberately place leaves in situations such as this one. I make it a point to never do that sort of thing. :)

Seriously?! That's kind of stupid, in my opinion, if you ask me. And a waste of time ... I think nature should be captured as it's seen, not created for one's pleasure. I mean, we are only observers in this world, it seems wrong to alter something nature has already made beautiful.

Nice place you turned into a beautiful photo work. The colors are great. Both winter and summer shots are beautiful.
