Wahclella Falls (Columbia River Gorge, Oregon USA) looks very different during autumn:
Just after I took this conventional photograph (1/3 second exposure)...
... I decided to try my neutral density filter for a much longer exposure (3 minutes), as I stood shivering nearby. As you can see, this created a completely different atmosphere.
NOTE: When displayed at its default size, the photo may appear a bit "soft". FULL VIEW is highly recommended for better appreciation of detail.
Both short and long exposures have their merits, but I think the softness of the fog makes the scene more inviting. What a huge contrast to the picture you took in October!
