Located in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge, Wahe Falls is somewhat of a Holy Grail for hard-core waterfall hunters. It involves every manner of physical obstacle (no trail, half a mile of creek wading, climbing a sheer rock face, thorns, and chest-high poison oak). I ended up bushwhacking down a steep crumbly hill and along the creek in darkness (though fortunately I remembered to bring my headlamp). I also contracted a nasty case of poison oak that drove me insane for the following week.

That's so delicately pretty, so colorful. I like the rich colors and textures of the forest surrounding the falls. I'm sorry you got poison oak, though; that is a real pain to put up with.
